| The
flow of installed works continues in the chapel in relation to ‘the
flow of space’ and laying out the works. Aspects of this are ‘peopling
the pews and suspending banners from ‘the stations of the cross’. There
are also developments within my processing of religious symbolism,
revealed through drawing, within existing works and emerging works.
The
dance of life as circular rhythms, inspired by the enso symbol for Zen,
and the interconnectivity of the spirit of the artist with the
universe. The poetry and readings of Mary Oliver, significantly Swan
and the sense of being still within your experience of nature. The myth
and story work of the Jungian analyst, Dr Clarissa Pinkola Estes,
especially The Radiant Coat and The Red Shoes and the relationship with
instinctive forces and the rhizomatic creative journeying. The concept
of geopoetics, the poetry of Kenneth White and the sense of relatedness
to the earth. | |
